Hi Chris,thanks for your answer. I understand that working out how good players are by their performances is fun for many people. But an editor wouldn't take that away from them, because they could just not use it.
For others however, like me, it's fun to experience the simulation exactly like they want it to be. For example i can't play with the affiliate nations or am i missing something? Almost all sports simulations have an editor for this very reason.So i don't understand what an editor would take away from people who want to work out how good players are by their performances. The only reason i see for not having an editor is that you might sell a few less copys next year because people 'update' the player data themselves. But they miss out on gameplay and grafic updates etc. So excuse me, but i don't see your point as a valid reason against an optional editor.
Also excuse my lackluster english, it's not my first language.Cheers. You can play as associate nations in the tournament modes. It's an interesting disucssion on the editor. I've always been against the idea as I think it's too tempting for people to just look up the abilities of their players and then spoil the fun of the game. Why would you persist with a player to find out id he's good enough if you can just look up a stat that tells you exactly how good he is? It's not a major issue though, as there is always a fan editor created every year. I prefer it that way as people have to search for it a bit rather than the editor being part of the package.
Well, the only one fan made editor i could find is from 2014 and doesn't work anymore. Plus it's not exactly an trustable.exe one has to use there.

'Tempting for people to just look up the abilities' sounds a bit silly, no offense, but i would think it's mostly adults playing this game that should be able to use it properly. After all it's also pretty clear that Virat Kholi is a better batsman than Chris Martin if you know what i mean. So the hidden stats shouldn't be that much of a surprise.It's about the possibilities an editor gives you. I for example would like to play with Germany, edit in the players i know personally and rise the rankings to play the big nations. It's not realistic, i know, but fun. I can appreciate that, but I've had every game you've released since number 1 and to be honest, they all seem very samey samey to me. Spend some money in re-do'ing the 3d display and release an editor - you'll sell squillions moe copies.IMHO (Ipreferred the original graphics).Good game, but really is the same game it's always been - it plays the same in almost every way.
Ive have 1000's of hours in you other ones, but even the one prior to this felt like it was identical to the last few. I couldn't get more than 20 hours.No one wants to hear in business that the fruits of their labor isn't upto scratch, but it is what is is. There is way to determine a players ability in the game besides averages which can be very misleading, and the re-generated players feel recycled rather than being randomly created.Granted making an editor maybe an awful lot of work, but how about an unofficial editor using cheat engine or even a scout like FMRTE?I don't believe 2015 had an editor, and 2016 likely will not have an editor either. Without an editor the game just feels like an update of the database and the GUI, and I have been playing the game since it was first released.
